Bringing Laughs On-the-Go: Tank Sinatra and Paul Virzi Hit the Road
This summer, GSTV introduced Summer of Drive, featuring premium content partners, on-the-ground activations, and custom summer-themed programming across sports, travel, music, and lifestyle. The Summer of Drive connects brands to highly engaged consumers at the pump— as they hit the road and start spending.
As part of our new programming, Full Tank: The Ultimate Dad Road Trip, we asked GSTV friend and content creator, Tank Sinatra, to take us along on one of America’s greatest offerings: the classic road trip. To keep the laughs up, he’s bringing along his buddy Paul Virzi, comedian, podcast host, and fellow dad.
We asked them a few questions about their road-tripping style and their most anticipated moments:
How did you two meet?
We met through Instagram! We have mutual friends there and eventually did a podcast episode together. The rest is history.
Can you give us a hint about where you’re headed?
We’re heading north! We’re both based in New York and would love to hit either the Catskills or the Berkshires.
Do you have any fond memories of road-tripping in the past?
I (Tank) did a month-long RV road trip with my family, crossing New York, Alabama, Arizona, Wyoming, and the Dakotas. It was the best decision ever, and I definitely want to do it again.
What products are a must-have for any road trip? What are you always grabbing at the convenience store?
We’re stocking up with water, energy drinks, sunflower seeds, protein bars, deodorant (very important!), hydration packs, pretzels, and chargers that seem to need replacements every trip.
For this trip, you’re hitting the road without your family. What are you looking forward to the most?
The laughs! We figured we’d be laughing way more. Haha we also have similar music tastes, and that was a big requirement for the trip.
Speaking of family, do either of you have tips and tricks for mastering a road trip with young kids?
iPads are a must. And headphones. Have a spare bag for garbage and always bring a blanket and pillow.
Who is going to be doing most of the driving?
Tank, most likely. He enjoys driving but won’t fight to do it and enjoys letting others take the wheel. As a passenger, he isn’t much of a backseat driver; he stays quiet in the car. He’s happy to put in his AirPods and listen to a podcast so as not to distract the driver.
Viewers can catch The Ultimate Dad Road Trip with Tank and Paul now through August 2025, exclusively on GSTV. A look at Tank and Paul’s trip preparations and the first leg of their road trip is below:
